Share Your Strength

For our first and last assignment for the semester, we had to pair up with a graphic design and together create a national campaign. I had an amazing partner Kaleb Duggan. I handled the photography and the video and Kaleb handled all the graphics and the overall design. We decided to create a campaign for the company Share Our Strength, which fights children's hunger. We came up with the idea of many different people sharing their strength to help others. No matter who you are and no matter where you come from, you have your own strength and that is the base for our entire campaign. Thank You Kaleb for this incredible design.

The Video:
As well as photographs, we had to create a 15 second video for the campaign.

DC: Week Two

Week Two in DC..... These photographs are from this week of exploring DC. Most of my week was spent at the Smithsonian Museums, however I did take some time and go to several other museums and go to the St. Patricks Day Parade. I visited the National Portrait Gallery, the National Geographic Museum, and the Phillips collection. Through this week, I was able to see art work from Monet, Chuck Close, Dan Winters, Alfred Stieglitz, Jackson Pollack, James Nachtwey, and Georgia O'Keefe. I was inspired by all the paintings and photography that I have been immersed in.  I have seen a wide range of art work and cannot wait to see more.

DC: Week One

Week one in DC. These are just a few images that are a product of my first week living in Washington DC. Each image was taken in a different area of the city throughout the week. Everyday I choose a different place to walk to and have an opportunity to take a few photos. I will continue to explore this city as long as I am here. More photos to come from every trek I take.

Hello DC!!!!!

Well, it is my first week in Washington DC, for an internship at the Smithsonian. Everyday after I get off, I take a walk around The Mall. As I was walking to the Lincoln Memorial, I decided to create a panorama of  where I had been. And of course, incorporate the Washington Monument. More to come from every experience I get to have in this amazing city. This is the first photo and is for everyone who inspired and helped me get here.

Flare for Video

This past Tuesday, I had the privilege to shoot a music video with some amazing ladies, Jessi Hagood and Frazier Sizemore. We traveled out and found this amazing old house in the middle of an open field. Perfect for our video. While we were exploring the house, I noticed Frazier standing in the door way and I took this photograph. A little behind the scenes preview. A big thank you to Jessi and Frazier for an awesome morning and an even better video.

The music video will follow soon.
